Stalin would approve a lot about this situation.

Maybe Lebron can use his free speech to display his fandom for THE Ohio State University as he did when he said that he was a big fan of the "scarlet and red."

Funny I don’t see statements like:
“Stay with your woman”
“Be a father to your kids”
“Don’t beat your wife/girlfriend”
“Be a role model and don’t commit crimes”

Now I understand why that idiot millionaire who owns the Mavericks is so anti-Republican. He's in on the whole thing. I've never liked this guy and I hope after all the people that are sick and tired of sports getting into politics that he loses this battle. He's a genuine Liberal nutjob. Oh, his name is Mark Cuban.

That would be good news now we will have all those celebrated, whiney athletes work for their money instead of getting paid for something a lot of us do for free.

I hope major sports dies, no I really do, they've had it made for many years. My poor grandson who would be playing Pro in 12 years will have to go work for his money. I'm being facetious here about my grandson because I see the talent already.

NBA wasn't getting my money before, and they certainly won't now. Last time I went to a game the place was crawling with cops. Going to have to up that security money if they want security at the games.

RE: NBA approved free speech messages
It is quite a statement on our priorities when most people who play a sport earn more in 1 year than most people earn in an entire career.

Poor Cam newton, The Patriots are paying him a mere $550K for 1 year of service - US average individual income is around $60K - and the top 1% earns above $250K - he is DOUBLE that and he is at the MINIMUM of the pay scale - to play a game.

These people do in fact "have it made". Even the paupers of the sport could get by without working again with only 2 or 3 years of their salary if they chose to live like the common-folk for their existence.

I too hope that this blows all of it up - there is an element of "Shut up and dribble" that I do agree with. As much as players of sport can and should have a voice, I do think their perspective is skewed greatly by their ability to live far above most of what they complain about. They may have "grown up in it" as children, but it is easy to spout off now when you have F-U money.

Tell me a guy like Mike Trout would still sit out this season if he was only making $100K per year because of "the Rona".
