Liberty has had amazing growth in terms of enrollment, facilities and endowment, and this looks like a big opportunity for them to hire a new leader that can bring them respectability. I don't know if they have it in them to ease towards the mainstream, but it would help them realize their athletic dreams.

I can disagree with many things Liberty does (I can agree with some things as well), but they are setting themselves up to be the BYU of the east by 2035. Money talks.

This isn’t about scripture - in which I’m well versed. My comments are about the extreme hypocrisy of a nepotistic president of a Christian university. If you’re deeply religious and don’t believe in judging/speaking your mind, then you should stay away from all message boards. You shouldn’t become unevenly yoked.

I think your statement is fair in reasonable. It is not a good idea to lump all Christians in with Falwell. At the same time fair and decent Christians need to speak up about the hypocrisy of this type of "Christian." Silence can speak volumes.

There is a big difference between speaking up and judging someone else. None of us are perfect. We are all sinners.
