SEC schedule changes out
https://www.cbssports.com/college-footba...ouncement/

Looking at the changes, it looks like they are trying to boost Alabama, LSU, Georgia and Florida as they all have relatively light additions.

Big 10, Pac 12, SEC and ACC have now published the schedules, although the ACC ooc may undergo some change. Clemson and UNC have no ooc opponents, FSU and UVA have FCS opponents who might drop and 3 have MAC opponents, which there are rumors the MAC might drop fall football.

The SEC went for competitive balance rather than TV/marquee value in the extra games. As a neutral party, I'd rather see Alabama/Florida and Georgia/LSU than the obvious cross division mismatches we're likely to see instead. Florida-Texas A&M is probably the best new game to me (#8 vs. #13 in preseason coaches poll). Georgia vs. Alabama was already scheduled.

As a Gator fan I was hoping for Auburn and A&M, but admittedly was scared of Alabama. I’ll take Arkansas for the easy win.

RE: SEC schedule changes out
Every year the SEC has 2 games scheduled against the other division. This year Auburn was playing Kentucky as the rotational game and Georgia as the annual crossover. Kentucky is near the middle of the East in ratings. So Auburn whose West division schedule is always stout had the leading contender from the East already. So the committee opted to go more with mid range schools. So we picked up an improving Tennessee which renews an old annual rivalry and South Carolina.

The scheduling looks tough for Arkansas and Missouri, but the top schools already had daunting schedules. And when your choices were limited to 5 schools not on the schedule already and you had to balance the S.O.S. this is what you get. It's tough to work around the two other division games you already have scheduled. And dropping the annual crossovers was not negotiable.
