Oh, and F Troy. The only reason we play them is because they got to be the other program in the state not named Bama or Auburn. I expect to beat them. South Alabama is trying to wedge their way in there with Troy. I expect to beat them too.

The first seven were by less than 10 points. Then a 30 point win and then the 70-14 game. I have an armchair theory that because of that 70-14 game (or even Bowers last 30 point win over UAB), we’ve been under the “Curse of the Blazer” ever since. Every bad thing from Giannini to Martha to losing to UAB in 2011 to Ellis to Monk leaving when he did to Hop is because we put up 70

1) La Tech
2) UAB
3) Marshall
4) WKU (lots of animosity already, which is what builds a true rivalry)

My trip to Bowling Green in 2016 was not an enjoyable one, and it wasn’t just because of the game. It’s a small sample and anecdote, but WKU fans weren’t pleasant.

You be playing with yourself in the Spring.

I assume a lot of people do that around the year.

Don’t be mad because you fired the first shot in the thread and it ended up being comparable to peeing into the wind.

That remains to be seen. I would say no score at this early point.

I missed the 2001 game. I'll never forget arriving in a hotel room and watching the scrolling scores on ESPN in 2001 and seeing that we beat UAB 3-0. I was like...that's gotta be a wrong...they may actually play decent football there in B-Ham.

Still pissed about that game. We had a td taken away due to a lineman being declared an ineligible receiver. After the touchdown he ran into the end zone to celebrate and the official threw the flag.

Yea - I paid that ref before the game...it's why I couldn't be there. Sorry you are finding out now.

Actually he was from Tuscaloosa. I always assumed it was Paul Bryant Jr. that paid him off. Our field goal kicker missed several chip shots so we lost the game fair and square

Remember the conspiracy theory was that the ref was a bama grad.....
