This is actually pretty awesome.

I can't tell you the last time USM hosted a game on a Saturday night on an ESPN linear channel.

Well, since visiting fans can't buy a ticket to the game at least we can watch it on ESPN2.

I don't have cable or direct tv and just got ESPN+ so I guess I will be watching from a friends house.

....I told you guys last week that this kind of stuff was going to happen, because the networks are starved for content. The is a great pickup for USM and LA Tech.

UTSA's season opener at Texas State will also be on ESPN2.

We're 3-0 against them so far, but I'm a little more worried about this one than I've been in the past. Texas State has a home game against SMU the week before, so they'll have a game under their belts and we'll likely be kinda raw, especially considering we have an entirely new coaching staff and this epidemic has severely curtailed the time they've had to work with our team.

Mississippi's governor posted today that "the next 9 days are critical.....but please don't let the Labor Day weekend be a reason to let down your guard"

IMO there's a slight chance he might increase outdoor attendance to maybe 30-40% by Sept 19th but probably depends on test results after the holiday weekend test results are back. Again, this is a guess on my part but if so there could be more tickets available for our game in 17 days. Also, the SEC (Miss St and Ole Miss) starts up the following weekend so it would be more mojo for him to increase attendance %.

With Hopson no longer the head coach, the approximately 9000 ticket capacity may be reached as there seems to be a lot more excited fans so the possibility of finding people selling them has diminished. OTOH i would say that South Alabama had a good 250-300 fans and possibly as many as 500 or so in their section(s) so finding one through your athletic dept might be possible.
