Last year's QB would have struggled and certainly wouldn't have made the throws Wells has. If you haven't watched Marshall football the last two season you have no understanding of how bad the passing game has been.

He really hasn't had any bad throws, one of the two incompletions should have been an easy catch.

Gaines has been known to get a little ahead of himself in the past, but usually makes up for it which he has clearly done today already.

No way Green would have made that throw he just didn't have that kind of accuracy on the long ball.

Yes, hoping the backup QB who has no game experience plays the 2nd half. You're only as good as your backups. Doc has to put him in and let him play, not just hand the ball off.

Agree. Zban had better be in the game halfway through the third qtr. if I am coaching, I want to see how Wells comes out after halftime. Give him a series or two and then get Zban in.

Well, putting in the backups might be the logical thing in a normal year. But I disagree, who knows how many games were going to be able to get in. I'd say keep the starters in as long as possible

Agree, but also this year it's not just injuries to worry about, a positive COVID19 test will sideline a player for at least two weeks. That and if Wells does stay in Doc probably won't let him throw a pass in the 2nd half.
