I just thought I'd drop by for a little break. I initially thought the "radical" posters came over here instead of going to the rivals board. I may have been wrong, because you don't seem to be eating your young - like over there.

Just thought I'd give you some kudos.

I think most people think we have good players, maybe from top to bottom better than many of the teams we have lost to. My only problem is when we have 8 or 9 players that have 12+ minutes per game. Players have to play together, and play together a lot, to get comfortable with the flow of the game. You can't have two new players inserted every five minutes, it breaks the continuity and may give the players the feeling if they do something wrong they will get yanked!! That may be OK with players who have played together for years but not a team trying to figure out what's going on each game!!! Also this team has no personality, no attitude and very little fight in it. Those aspects of the team can be related to the coach and that is why I think you will see more and more people calling for JP's head, even though in my opinion he has at least one more year to change those aspects of his coaching!!!

We have talent, or we'd be getting blown out. We just don't have the experience to close out games.

Some of the substitution patterns have me scratching my head. I can see pulling a guy who's playing well to counter the other team's substitutions (going 3 guard or tall lineup), but how many times have we pulled a guy right after he's made two good plays? Or just one bad one?

Our rotations should be pretty apparent to everybody by now:

Parker and Glenn are givens. Sorry, boys... 35 minutes a game for you both.

Teichmann needs to play major minutes. He's a junior, so we're only going to have him one more year. Ramsdell backs him up and gets some experience.

Cardwell and Price split time in the post. Keep them both fresh and out of foul trouble. One guy gets hot, stay with him.

That leaves Collins and Kelly, but only one more spot. Start one and rotate in the other one. Substitute wisely and this is how you give Parker and Glenn a breather.

Wallace... here and there. I'm not giving up on him, but this is reality.

That's 7 players getting major minutes, Ramsdell getting moderate minutes, and Wallace getting a few as needed. That's about as deep as we are this year.

What do you guys think?

Catbird you are alright. But your friend may yet run more people over here. He doesn't know whether to moderate or bully. He does a little of both.

You may be right about closing out games but these players were the same ones in high school that closed out several 20+ win seasons. Maybe we just need a mandatory time out at the five minute mark left in the game, in every game, and tell the five players you put on the floor, they are going to have to win the game and remind them of what needs to be done and maybe not done so it is fresh in their minds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes Catbird the viciousness going on at the Rivals board is like going to an ACLU against Christians site! With continued growing mass hysteria, Heads will roll.
