RE: Awards Thread
Camren Wynter has been named MVP of the CAA tournament.

All-CAA team members

Jalen Ray
Hunter McIntosh
Ikenna Ndugba
Zach Walton
James Butler

I'm actually kind of shocked that Cam won it. But they have to give it to a Dragon and this tournament was a total team effort where nobody really stood out.

It was a team effort but come on. Okros has to be the choice. He made like 14 3's in 3 games. With some being big daggers.

Edit: It was actually only 7. Walton had the 5 in game 1. Okros had 5 at JMU to end the regular season.

AGREE. I guess because he wasn't a starter and played limited minutes. But, boy...those minutes and shots were HUGE!!!!

I don't disagree. Would have been interesting to see it go to a player that wasn't part of the end of season awards.

Big loss for NU as Tyson Walker entered the portal earlier today. Between him and Jasper the CAA is already taking a hit for next year

Hannah Nihill got some amazing recognition in the CAA WBB Awards.

She's 1st team all CAA, Defensive Player of the Year, AND won the prestigious Dean Ehlers Award. She's the first ever Dragon to be Defensive POY.

Keishana Washington is 3rd team All CAA.

Congrats to Hannah and Keishana for these great accomplishments.

i wanted a nihill statue for sure. we might have to put up a keishana washington statue too. there are lots of entrances into the dac.

thank god we're not headed towards a squash statue.

Bringing the awards thread back up to the top to honor Keishana Washington for winning CAA player of the week. This week in dominating wins vs. Maine and Dartmouth, she averaged 21.5 ppg, 62.1% FG% and 71.4% 3PFG%.

Two more players of the week for the Dragons...

Tess Brugler won player of the week. https://caasports.com/news/2022/2/28/caa...eb-28.aspx

Amari was co-player of the week. Ironically, he shared the honors with CoC's Underwood. Underwood had a great game on Saturday, but he was the one who missed the FT that put Drexel in position for the Cam to Amari game winner.

Quote:Matey Juric won the Dean Ehlers leadership award
Amari Williams won DPOY

Camren Wynter- 1st team all CAA
Amari Williams- 3rd team all CAA, all defensive team

Dan10 posted this over on the MBB thread, but I think this is where we should put it.
Congrats to all. And it's awesome to see another Dean Ehlers award winner come from a Drexel player. It reflects really well on the culture of Drexel Athletics.

brugler and nihill on the second team is a joke. a guess they didn't want the whole first team to be drexel and delaware. happy to see it though because those two will show up with a chip on their shoulders like they always do.

washington not getting player of the year is a joke too. who won both head to head matchups?
