Can someone explain to me what a Tulsa fan has to post about in regards to NFL qb's? How many Tulsa qb's are starting in the NFL right now? How many Tulsa qb's have won NFL MVP awards?

I wouldn't say Leftwich is one of the best in the league....
he will be, he only has the 2nd highest rookie qb rating since dan marino.

Not the best yet, thats for sure.

Although he has never and probably will never put up numbers like Favre, Gus Frerotte currently plays for the Vikings. "For the first few weeks of the 1995 season, Gus put up excellent numbers. In fact, he was the leading passer in the NFC for a while, ahead of veterans like Aikman, Young, and Favre." His career has certainly not been near that of Favre, nor will I claim it to be, but your post had a slight hint of "Can someone explain to me what a Tulsa fan has to post about in regards to NFL qb's?" Speaking of watching your mouth before letting it fly open.

You mean the McNair that has been out hurt most of the month? Nah. He's tough, but not in Favre's league.

Frerotte's a Tulsa guy? Huh, I never knew that... Weird that we'd have two CUSA QBs on the same team.

Frerotte stepped in earlier this year after a Detroit Lion player took a cheap shot in the end zone and broke four or five bones in Culpepper's back (this is AFTER he had scored). Gus came in and put up some really nice numbers. I think he had a QB rating in the 120's or something. Granted, this was against losing teams, but still...

The downside is that now idiot Viking fans chant "we want Gus!" every time Daunte throws an incomplete pass. It's not like Culpepper is going to the Pro Bowl or leads the NFC in QB rating or anything...

-Chris
He is indeed. Sorry about Culpepper, that sucks for anyone. However, Gus has already played in and won the Pro-Bowl. Take it for what it is worth.

Had a guy by the name of T.J. Rubley who played here right before Gus. He was actually a better QB than Gus in college. Rubley played for the Rams out in LA for a few years, but got hurt.

We know more about receivers than QB's - Howard Twilley, Drew Pearson, Steve Largent, and a guy by the name of Chris Penn who played for the Chiefs and Bears recently.

To answer your question see the post from Cane Gang. Southern Miss. puts one guy in the NFL and suddenly they've become experts on QB's? That's the joke. USM God's gift to football lore. RIGHT! We will see who whips who's arse! Does this mean the love fest is over?

According to Alumni Tracker, USM currently has 17 players in the NFL, Tulsa has 4.
Big difference in talent.

CUSA teams placed four players in the Pro Bowl this year. Three of them are from USM. USM has won four CUSA championshiops. USM has gone undefeated in CUSA play three times. We are the only team to go 8-0 in conference play. We aren't bragging, it is just fact. This TUDIEHARD is the type of fan that will definately end the honeymoon. We are proud of Tulsa making a bowl game and will be rooting for you to win.

You must be a woman......if not you sure are like one.....

If you wanna talk smack go to the smack talk board.......

This was about QB's not about how many players you have in the NFL.....

I really like to hear it when you have 700 people attend your basketball games.....that's an embarrassment to CUSA!

USM will get their ****** kicked and you will see my quote soon from Dr. Lawless in my sig.....You people really think you are that good.....HA!.........and I know we aren't a top college team or even a top 30-40 team.....but I guarantee an AZZZ wuppin' in Hattiesburg or Tulsa....hell we can go to canada and wuup your ******...!!!!!!!
