Completely agree that selling the brand was a colossal and irrevocable error. Perception is everything, this conference rebranded as a G5, it will always be a G5, unless it’s included in an expanded CFP. The SEC, BIG12 and Big10 won’t let that happen.

Nope. Only if you're a basketball only fan. This conference was formed powered by football. Big East had a HORRIBLE rep as a football league. It was a laughingstock, to some degree.

Football is worth about 3 times what basketball is.

Not mad at all. Memphis didn't do enough to earn their way into the NCAA Tournament so I will enjoy watching them in the NIT. Hopefully, they can build toward a better season next year. In the meantime, I will be pulling for Houston and Wichita to both make deep runs.
