No discussion of the Softies would be complete without a fun trip down memory lane. It stops at the end of the 3rd, but it was 65-0 at that point and I think the slaughter rule was in effect. Cole Johnson makes an appearance as we were emptying the bench late 3rd quarter

Short and tough week going from a Sunday night game to a Saturday game in Texas with graduation, finals and COVID protocols going on. Coaches will be working around the clock trying to break down film and getting a gameplan together quickly.

SHSU is SHSU playoffs 21-11 playoff, but 15-0 at home. They have NEVER lost a home playoff game, and neither has Keeler a Div I HC (8-0 @ UD, now 8-0 @ SHSU).

I seem to remember in 2016 a certain team went up against NDSU who was previously unbeaten all time at home in the playoffs and won that game. This happened a week after beating the current opponent by a, ahem, comfortable margin.

NDSU is 28-1 at home for playoff games. The 1 is JMU. Records are meant to be broken.

SHSU looked much improved on the lines against NDSU.

Thinking of going to this game. NDSU had a good number of people there, and tickets were available until game day. It's 3 hours south of DFW/Frisco, and if we win could become a 1 week trip.

SHSU reported 4,984 for the NDSU game, 50% capacity is 7,000.

Hope we have a bunch of JMU fans in DFW/Houston area that will show up.

Not sure where you live to fly, but Huntsville is only a little of an hour north of Houston. (Assume you looked at this, if so this post isn’t meant to be snide)

Yep, considering options, but also want to be near DFW for a potential visit to Frisco the following week. Not sure if its worth the hassle to fly from Houston to DFW. Could arrive in Houston and drive north afterward. May come down to airline schedules/costs vs car rental. Car rentals at DFW have been inexpensive/plentiful in the past (not so sure now)

Perhaps the most wide open final 4 in FBS history.

I guess you have to say SDSU is the favorite, but really it could be anyone in this Covid season.

Would of liked NDSU for multiple reasons, but it is kinda fun to play at SHSU.

Of course the week we travel is the short week. Not preferred, but once again I'll take it.

Certainly would be the weirdest FBS final four to have these 4 teams in it...

There are also some luxury bus options you can look into. I flew into Houston to take my client that lives in dallas to the World Series a couple years ago and he took the luxury bus to / from Dallas and talked highly about the experience (drinks, etc)
