SEC Baseball
With TN, Vandy, and Miss St. in the CWS, I started to wonder about expansion with baseball in mind. Baseball doesn't really move the needle $ wise, but it might be useful in evaluating cultural fit with the SEC.

Of the 2021 national seeds both Texas and TCU could be considered legitimate candidates.

Others that I notice: Clemson made 4 appearances in the CWS in 2000, 2002, 2006, and 2010 but not since.

Miami has made appearances in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2015, 2016

NC State in 2013, 2021.

OK in 2010, OK St in 2016.

Virginia: 2009, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2021.

If we were willing to do baseball only adds, then teams like Rice, Coastal Carolina and ODU might make more sense, but thats not going to happen.

It has been hashed and rehashed and rehashed again on here that Texas/OK are basically it in terms of actual value adds, but in terms of baseball adding something like Texas/NCSU/Miami, and Virginia would be an awesome expansion.

As a side note, I continue to be impressed with NC State's fit with the SEC in many ways. Despite being a city school (Raleigh) I think they would be an excellent choice if we needed something besides Texas/OK.

Miami is an interest pick as another Florida school, but I think FSU would still win out in that battle.

Taking UVA is interesting as it is probably more Big 10, but would certainly help basketball, baseball, and academics.

Just rambling some in a slow period.

Texas Tech had a bad super regional but is a very solid baseball program. You might want to add them to the list and usually OU and OSU are solid as well. And the latter two and Texas are solid in softball, golf, track, and OU is annual top 10 in gymnastics.

North Carolina often had very good baseball teams during the last few decades.

Georgia Tech had a good tradition in baseball, but hasn't sustained anything particularly noticeable during recent times.

RE: SEC Baseball
I think the SEC should take Duke for basketball and Wake Forest for baseball.

RE: SEC Baseball
Hail State!

State defeating a couple of media & system darlings along the way probably doesn't settle well with the sports establishment. Of course there are games to go, and hopefully the SEC finishes impressively.
