whats funny about your take is the the ncaa literally highlighted the memphis vs kansas game a few months ago right before the tournament, the full game was just put on the official ncaa youtube channel 5 months ago as their showcase game of the month...ncaa does love to show off those electric bikes in those pedal races

The violations occurred because they cheated, used means against the rules (like having an electric motor on a pedal bike) to succeed. If Rose doesn't play for them........if Bush goes to UCLA instead.....

It's not about whether a rule makes sense or not, it's about everyone playing by the same set. The NCAA determined Memphis was not and vacated the accomplishments of those teams because they operated outside of the rules. Wichita followed the rules and therefore gets to count all of theirs. Something vacated means it didn't count. That's it, in a historical NCAA program comparison the asterisks don't count.

We get it, in your book of interpretations asterisks are to remind people that it never happened, less they forget. Got it! NCAA with time machine technology in the form of magic asterisks.

You know its competition because you all play by the same rules, when you cheat it doesn't count, that's why its vacated. Don't cheat won't have to worry about the asterisks but that would mean Memphis would have to be just like everyone else and we all know how special Memphis fans are. That Memphis gets so mad at the NCAA for "cheating" them with multiple decades of scandals and don't see the irony is hilarious.
