USF IPF groundbreaking Sep 8th
Should be completed before next season.

Tweet from Will Turner:

BREAKING: @USFFootball's indoor-practice facility's groundbreaking ceremony will be Sept. 8, according to an email received by high-level donors.

Story coming. #USF

It’s gonna be a really nice facility. I haven’t seen everyone’s but it may be the nicest IPF in the AAC.

$22 million for an 88,000 sq ft facility. Full regulation field with performance centers built h in to the sides.

Looks like it’s going to be really nice. I predict in the next 3-5 years we’ll see something in the works for ECU to get one. Maybe sooner. Definitely a big need.

Great to finally get a break ground day. This will be a really nice IPF and it moves on the timeline to build the Football Building next.

Which IPF will be nicer? One built 3-16 years ago, or one built today.

Man some of you have such an insecurity regarding USF which is really pathetic. We are at our lowest point, you guys are flying high and you still feel threatened by anything USF does.

Probably Miami's because they spent like $40 million on it.

Just don't understand where all that Big East money went. Even after we joined the AAC, USF was receiving Big East exit fee money that UCF wasn't receiving. Where did all that go?

UCF was the trend setter for IPF in the state.

It's only for when lightning threatens to cancel practice. Florida is the lightning capital of the United States. Orlando and Tampa have routinely been in the top 20 cities for lightning storms.

Well good for you all. I’m happy we are building ours and the football facility that will attach to it.

Yeah ECU has a problem with it too. Mike Houston has been very vocal about the need for one since he has arrived. It starting to get more attention.

I once knew a guy who was struck by lightning. It burned or blew the toes of his shoes off, toes not harmed. He was knocked out from it. He didn’t know what had happened to him. Lucky guy. I still know him, just haven’t seen or spoke to him in sometime, but friends on Facebook.
