Just a different lifestyle out there. Looking at the list it's pretty obvious that midwestern cities are far more dialed into sports. Not to mention Rams are a new thing in LA. Lakers and Dodgers are much more ingrained into the culture although I'm sure the Rams winning and the NFL being the behemoth it is US culture that they'll move up the food chain in LA but it will never approach the focus that midwestern cities give to sports.
