Leave SoMiss as the last one to leave, they get all the exit fees (which we invest). Then SoMiss leaves CUSA and brings our exit fees back to us.

We can’t trust the USM with the cash with all that meth on the street.

FIU: I'm impressed with your soccer program, I think your cultural base is a perfect match to build out a powerhouse in that sport. Get the right football people in there. When you guys first join this version of CUSA, I thought great things were on the forefront, so I think it's just a matter of getting the right people in place.

ODU: I covered the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area for a few years, lovely fan base. They just want what's best for their program, just like all of us. I do think your future is also very bright, get one or two competitive years under your belt and your fan base will be reinvigorated.

Charlotte: What can I say, you have done an amazing job starting the football program. I think most imagined it would take a very long time to get started, and now you have built those roots out. I really wanted that football program to be built out and started, and I think you are now on the way. I know we like to give each other grief, but that's out of all good fun.

MTSU: Lovely fans, and we've seen when Middle can be good, they are explosive and dangerous. They are sleeping giant especially in that market they hold, and I like being in a conference with them.

WKU: Probably of all of the teams in our division, I think Marshall fans would agree, we hold the most respect and partnership with Western, not that we don't care about the others, it's just that our fan bases are very similar. Smallish market, but not tiny, but we own our markets. Awesome football and basketball, and great name recognition. We have been in wars with each other for sure. 2014 game was a wake up call, and a gut punch that really got our juices burning to play you guys.

Southern Miss: Marshall fans look to Southern Miss and East Carolina as the measuring stick for entering CUSA, and it's with that level of respect we look at Southern Miss as peers. We've seen the best of what you can offer, and we know that your best days are yet to come. You have what many programs lack, and that is a passionate fanbase. Don't take that for granted.

UNT: I had to spend a few weeks in Dallas this year for work, and stayed near the Denton area. Went to Denton Bible Church, lovely folks. I've always liked having UNT in CUSA for the fact we share very similar color combinations! So it's like the war for the green...

La Tech: My respect for La Tech started in the early 2000s, when just like Marshall, I noticed that La Tech would always play a brutal schedule out of conference, and usually show out. That tells me that you care about football, and having you in this version of CUSA has played that out. I have a feeling a lot of La Tech fans and Marshall fans have a lot in common.

UAB: I've seen the construction, the transformation of the city of Birmingham and your program, and I'm so proud of you. I think all of us were pissed at the previous decision to close the program, and we all rallied around you, I'm so glad that we kept you in CUSA, and if we don't get to hang out with each other for very much longer, you've been awesome much respect to you my friends!

Rice: My best friend's wife holds a PhD from Rice, and she is wicked smart...so I know the academics are real. You will always have a name brand because of that, you're just such a sleeping giant with the academics and investments you could have, I feel for you guys because I know the heights you could reach. You could be the South Central Stanford with the right people in place.

UTEP: Hold your heads high, when UTEP is good there's nobody in CUSA that can match their level of fan base and attendance. This is a program that in the early 2000s to mid-2000s were nearly averaging over 40,000 in attendance! That is unheard of, so get the right people in place and you will catch a lot of people off guard in whatever conference you play in! Also your basketball history is just amazing, a lot of respect for you on that front.

UTSA: We all see the giant that you can become. This is probably the closest to a UCF we have right now right before our very eyes, I think this is your year, and you might be our best chance at getting that new year six bid. I would love to see that happen and represent CUSA for us on the national stage!

You are a class act, as are most of the herd fans. I enjoyed CUSA other than the leadership and wish you all the best, except for that miserable 24 he’s a lost cause.

Respect to the great athletes in this Conference I've had the privilege of seeing since 2014! Respect for the league in giving us chance to move up to FBS football. FBS is such a higher level!
