Coach Taggart can not be happy with this execution.

2 of those fumbles were muffed punt returns which are the worst kinds of fumbles. Just sloppy.

Sloppy all the way around. Offense, special teams (I forgot to mention the missed 33-yard FG), even the defense (that single play 46-yard score for Fordham in the second half)
I don’t blame the defense. They were tired from forcing punts just for them to be fumbled.

A perspective from someone that was there.

We seem to have an issue coming out flat which could cause a big problem going into AF next week.

Not a well played game by the Owls, especially offense. It appears the team didn’t take these guys seriously and it showed. Fordham hung in there the entire game. Dropping a perfect pass for a TD on the first play of the game was pretty indicative of how the game was played by the O. There were two other bombs that were perfectly thrown for TDs that were dropped as well, that’s not normal for our receivers.

We have to come out of the gate quicker, the o line has to get better and we have to establish a stronger more consistent running game in order to win next week. It will be interesting to see the opening line on the AF game. My prediction is very close to even.

The second one was directly in front of me and I, and everyone around me could have sworn he called a fair catch and was then run into. I’ll have to watch the replay.

I thought the second Fordham touchdown was due to either the scheme or not following the scheme. When the DB slipped there was no safety covering up top.
