Nicely done, Miners! A feat that hasn't happened in 7 years largely because the Lobos wouldn't schedule UTEP. Miners went 7-5 in the 2014 regular season on their way to the Gildan New Mexico Bowl.

Good question. Won't be easy for this team but possible.

Looks like some toss ups on the schedule with ODU, UNT, Rice but winning all of them doesn't seem likely right now.

Dont know what it is but every time I watch UTEP they look like a team that is just missing something that is keeping them from being a really good team. They look really good for a while then do the reverse. If that "something" is confidence....

Very possible UTEP gets to 6 wins, maybe 7 and could very easily be 5-1 after the next two games. If I was betting them I would pick 5-1. Rice and UNT games also look very winnable but any of the other 4 would take a upset win.

I think what they're missing is a competitive coach. Dimel is too much of a nice guy. They lack any sort of killer instinct. They doubt themselves and that's a reflection of Dimel's personality.

Nice come back win by the Miners. The defense really stepped it up in the 2nd half. Hoping the offense will continue to improve. CUSA play won’t be easy, but the potential is there.

Before the season started I thought we could best ODU. The more research I do on them the more my confidence weakens. No conference road game is ever winnable when you're UTEP. I'm getting an ugly feeling we might lose the next 5 games.

You get ODU at home, and Southern Mississippi is struggling right now. I agree that most of the backend of the schedule looks like losses, but North Texas and Rice look beatable right now. You get Louisiana Tech at home, so anything can happen there.
