Can’t CUSA officially dissolve?
It wouldn’t go active until all the teams move, but isn’t there votes w quorum? I really think the East schools with some Sunbelts could have some good football!!

No, we will collect the cash.
Looks like we might keep this old bird going.
The Sun Belt seems to be highly irrational here. No more than two additions and no merger.

I believe it would take 3/4 of the teams to vote to dissolve, teams don't get a vote once they accept invitation to another league.

leave your money at the door on your way out and don't think about having the checks bounce since we know where you live

RE: Can’t CUSA officially dissolve?
I've seen this movie in college hockey. When the Big Ten decided to field men's hockey in 2013 or so, some of the schools that remained in the WCHA and CCHA decided to form a new conference, the NCHC. Most of those who remained in the CCHA decided to join the WCHA.
For a couple of months, Bowling Green was the very last school in the CCHA, which it helped found in 1971. For whatever reason, it held off on joining the WCHA longer than the others. Our understanding is that because of this, all of the property (intellectual at least, maybe some old media guides and this and that) ended up staying with Bowling Green.
Fast forward a few years. Bowling Green helped organize (with Minnesota State and several other schools) an exodus from the WCHA to form a new league. The name? The CCHA.
Anyway. I know this is a tough day for you Conference USA fans. I honestly think football can go on for those still left if you want to happen. Add some schools and keep going.

Eight is enough for a conference. Even though the traveling will be at times harsh at least the money coming in will soften the blow.
Thanks for the memories and thanks for the dough.

Should we go shopping or invest the money? Hmmm..
No way a conference with several fresh $millions$ in the bank dissolves!

If it gets down to 3, it would be nice if it became an FBS only conference. While not officially allowed by the NCAA a FBS football only conference of UConn, UMass, Liberty, FIU, LA Tech, UTEP, and NMSU could try and maintain status with the CFP and give the teams a trophy to play for

No. CUSA will survive regardless and those leaving will leave money on the table.

I think it's a hard no now that it's come out that everyone will be targeting 2023 to start new homes. That's plenty of time for a Sunbelt/MWC/CUSA cage death match.

You mean there's plenty of time for a AAC/Sunbelt/MWC/CUSA cage death match. I just can't see Memphis, Navy, SMU, USF, Temple and Wichita St. sticking around much longer in the AAC. The only teams left will be ECU, Tulsa and Tulane, plus the new adds.

Where are they all going? Some I can guess at but are you predicting Temple willingly tries to UMASS itself?

If there's one thing I know about my alma mater (and I suspect the same for the left behind), we will take the guaranteed money and act like it's all going to be fine. But rest assured, we go for the money on the table. Damn the torpedoes.
