Pay for your own damn car...and while you are at it pay for you own country club membership! Geeze...the I need it for free mentality.
the "courtesy car" is provided by a local dealer for sure and when Wren leaves one day north Texas state fans can cry when he just leaves it in long term parking at DFW with the keys in it when he flies out
the $7,200 in cash is probably paid by the same dealer so that he stands by the car at some events for a bit and talks about it to people or so that it has a sign on it and probably so he does not have to worry so much about tracking mileage for taxes he can just tell himself he is paid to drive "his car" for business
the country club is probably more business though and probably with the school paying that and saying it is needed for "business" he is not taxed on it.....but the CC does not allow a "business" as a member thus the member has to be the AD as a person
it does always seem funny though that is mentioned when they can clearly afford a car or CC membership
what I do not understand is how anyone thinks he has done this amazing job truth be told north Texas state was lucky to get in the tournament last year and easily could have missed it and probably will not go this year....Seth was not his hire and the good years of Seth were not the work of the AD and the extension was and then the bad years of Seth happened
the Olympic sport "success" is mostly wining those sports in a league that is pretty weak in those sports and doing nothing nationally relevant after that
the facilities are 95% on the backs of student fees and academic side transfers any AD could have done that if they had an administration that would hand the the money
the HARD WORK of donor support, ticket sales, alumni club money, licensing ect has pretty much remained consistently LOW for such a "sleeping giant" (in a coma at this point and on life support)
getting into the AAC was more an act of desperation by another "wonder boy" of a conference commissioner that was suppose to "go gagsta" on the Big 12 and tear it apart with "ESPN got our bacc dawg" and wonder boi gangsta stood there and watched meh commissioner Bowlsby and the Big 12 make a phone call and take 2 of their top 3 teams and then also their own poor decision adding UH
the next two or three years will tell if this is north Texas state trying the UH method of "throw money at it and tell everyone about it" or if he can actual capitalize on the AAC with private dollars and ticket sales and not on the backs of students
