smu oregon is easily the best game.. smu can still make the tourney with a loss, but this game is the difference between a realistic 2 seed, and just needing a respectable record to make the tourney... and a 7 seed ceiling and needing a really good record to make the tourney
'
dont feel like counting but every game but these 4 should be auto wins
( smu @ oregon... ucf @ miami, usc @ temple, cincy @ georgia)
i say ucf and cincy wins and oregon and usc wins

so only 2 loss entering Monday

Can you record on ESPN+ ? Obviously, I'm going to watch Memphis, but I'd like to see what the other teams look like. The Tuesday games are all on at the same time.

RE: ***Opening Week AAC Basketball GameThread (11/9 - 11/13)***
Jacksonville State (Kenpom 136, similar to Tulsa) will be a good first test for WSU. We should certainly win, but no way I would expect a blowout or easy game as they bring back their top 8 players and have lots of upperclassmen, experience, cohesiveness, and are actually bigger than WSU. They are a strong rebounding team and that was a weakness for us last year. (They also will be going to the C-USA). As a team they should be comparably stronger at the start of the season than potentially at the end of the season relative to teams with more youth and inexperienced pieces that will require games to better integrate.

He isn’t going anywhere regardless. But we should win 8 Out of conference for sure.
The five that will tell us about this team are the games vs
Auburn
Florida
Vanderbilt
Boston College
BYU

RE: ***Opening Week AAC Basketball GameThread (11/9 - 11/13)***
looking at the Tuesday Wednesday games look at the games

the aac should be 11-0.. only 3 opponents with a respectable preseason kenpom

Evansville has respectable kenpom, because they return a lot, but most human polls have the projected to be horrible .. projected bottom 2 in the MVC.. im just going to add them to the horrible teams list

then Jacksonville state - projected top 2 in the asun, return almsot everyone from a 18-9 team last year.. likely 20+ win team this year

thery are a really really old team, they will also drastically outsize wichita in the post by ALOT.. both the backup and starting center are REALLY good post scorers (both one time p5 transfers) and really good rebounders... jacksonville actually has a matchup advantage..
also jackson vill will only have 3 chances at a q1 win all season on a pretty weak schedule, so will likely treat this game as a super bowl

with all of that said, wichita should still comfortably win if it has any remote claim to be a tourney team .. jax state returns a good team, but on a mid major level. they played 1 p5 team last year, lost by 30.. they had a good overall record, but didnt actually beat a single good team last year

then Hofstra
projected top 3 in the colonial league.. like wichita, houston should comnfortably win.

Hofsra returns its best players then, added the best players from a bunch of other mid-majors (note the oregon and arkansas transfers they added are double transfers who were stars in mid-majors, but realized the grass wasnt greener in a big time p5)

i think houston has the matchup advantage, they are a relatively small team that relies on prolific guard scoring, i think houston should be able to rebound on them..

Today is my second favorite sports day of the year for me (the start of March Madness is tops). I feel like a kid.

There is no better sport than college basketball, although opinions vary. :)

Write up of WSU's game vs Jacksonville state. Might be tougher than i was expecting they are returning a lot of players from a team that ended the year ~162 in Kenpom and added a 6'10 transfer from UNC and another transfer from Georgia. WSU definitely should win, but hopefully it will end up being a decent win by years end.

I agree it will be a challenge, especially early in the year.
