I came over to see how many posts were about how bad HA and the the OC were? Where are they? And absolutely none about how well the one played and the other called? An assured winning season and a bowl game! That's something to celebrate!!!!!

Well...When a QB goes 27-32 for 405 and 3TD's...only a total moron would complain. Great game for Ahlers. Maybe his best game of his career.04-cheers

It was 4th and 7 around mid field. It was definitely the right move.

In most games, sure. But Navy couldn’t really stop ECU’s offense, and all Navy had to do was pitch the ball outside and they’d been KILLING us on that all game. I just think they would have gotten it.

Yeah this. Coach Ken got weirdly conservative for most of the second half. I was surprised by that call among others.

Good game ECU

Is he on the hotseat after this season?

I doubt it, but if next year does not show a lot of improvement then probably starts getting hot. IDK, he is obviously a very talented coach but he may have gotten a bit comfortable. Very tough schedule this year too does not help.

The transfer rule changes are definitely hurting us, we can only lose and not gain anyone. Army and AF are dealing with it too and doing better so I don't think that is an excuse.

Finally the offense stepped up to beat Navy. The defense came up with a huge stop on Navy’s last drive. A gritted out win against a magnificent Navy program.

That was kind of my point. A good number have been finding every fault they could all season (all career) long, win or lose. Yet when everything falls into place and he looks great, not even a "that aboy".

This is the best I’ve felt since we pounded UNC back in 2014. Getting the Navy Monkey off of our back is a huge deal. Great win!

Ahlers was fantastic and deserves the game ball right along with Daffer.

My gallery. More comments later when I'm not on a phone in a car on the way back home.

That game showed ecu found its clutch gene.

Definitely the best game of his career. The 4th down pass to Snead on tying drive probably best throw of his career.

This is I why I think he will be back next year. He's gunning for the NFL and needs next year to get his stats up.

Still don't understand how Navy gets away with the holds, facemask, etc on every significant play.

Great game. Huge props to our offense, especially DK and Ahlers. I've been critical of both but these last few games the play calling and execution has been excellent. Ahlers is running and throwing great passes. Is a completely different player from what we saw earlier this season. Defense was not pretty and our whole coaching staff needs to attend a clinic in the offseason on clock management late in games, but after all these years of struggling I'm enjoying being 3rd place in the conference. We have a huge opportunity next week against Cincy.

Thank you my Navy Brother. I have so much respect for the institution and the ones who serve. My Dad was Navy and nephew was a Seal. You're a first in class poster and I always pull for the Middies if they aren't playing ECU! Go AAC!!

I second that emotion. I'm ex-Navy, too. I always pull for them except vs. Memphis, and yes, SLH is a classy poster.

And congrats to ECU for a nice season.
