No matter if there is a review or not, the game cannot end on a defensive penalty. Both of what I described above happened.
Both should count as delay of game.
A defensive penalty negates the 10 second rule. So the ball should have been spotted and the clock started on snap. I posted the exact rule earlier in the thread.
ucf fans believe they can grab a ball and run around with it, let their fans into the field and that somehow thats legal.
But didn't they stop to review if it was an interception or sack? Knee was down at 9 seconds......so the runoff would happen from there. What happened after has no bearing because the review marked the ball dead at 9 seconds. Am I wrong?
Yes, you are. Even with a review the 10 second runoff only happens if there was no defensive penalty, which there should have been.
The rules specifically state that the defense cannot run out the clock if they didn’t have possession. The defense never had legal possession and then allowed fans/players on the field. Both are delay of game.
No rule can override the fact that a game cannot end on a defensive penalty. Period. Even if the refs did a review the review should have shown delay of game and therefore no runoff and the ball is spotted for usf.
Central fans will try to claim otherwise and they continue to be wrong. I respond to you because at least you are civil.
Seriously, where do you get the idea that there should have been a delay of game? What part of that situation looks to you like the offense was trying to get lined up and run a play, but the defense intentionally delayed them from doing so?
You want to get a delay call on the defense while your own players are laying on the ground pouting?

For me to ever care what someone says, I’d have to respect them and Kruciff, you know I have absolutely less than zero respect for you. Take care.

I wonder if today changes the context of this play
RE: ***Official War on I-4 UCF vs South Florida Game Thread***
So I'm genuinely curious... After all the b****ing and moaning and protesting, did they ever over-rule the end of the game and change the record in favor of USF?
