Cincinnati goes down. I expected a game or two like this going into the season, but coming off the Illinois win and playing Arkansas close, I was hoping we had advanced beyond this. Still optimistic for the season, but this one hurts.

UC loses to Monmouth and we're going to lose to Delaware later.

Newman brings a lot of intangibles to this team. Him out, coupled with no students and a good Monmouth team is a bad recipe.


Just learn. Get better.

This is a 2 bid league and I’m not even that confident in Memphis any more

Just pitiful shooting by UC today.

Not a great holiday weekend for the conference.

Poor FT shooting drives me nuts. UC down 59-61 with 4 seconds left and two FTs (a chance to tie) and he misses the first. He intentionally misses the second, but Monmouth gets the rebound. UC gets the ball back with 1 second left, so they still had one more prayer. UC shot just 45% from the FT line for the game and just 14% (4/28) from threes. A very tough loss at home. Hopefully Monmouth does on to have a great season and makes the big dance.

the shootign could have been overcome... the issue is that cincy bigs are soft and not very physical...you were outrebounded by a mid major..

this is 2 straight games uc gave up a crucial offensive rebound with less than 20 to play

Zero reason this UC team should shoot 28 3’s

We were never a tourney lock. A team that plays hard and has some talent. We can play with good teams, but we are in the middle of our KC performances and today’s stinker.

You can’t possibly have watched the game today and thought rebounding was the main issue. It was 38-37 with us having taken 8 more shots and 12 more 3s. Poor shot selection, not enough execution to get better shots, sure. And I’m not saying at all the rebounding was good, but it was a secondary issue. 13-7 on offensive rebounds. Not at all like the Arkansas game.

Memphis and UC both will be fine quit melting down it’s basketball teams lose games. Even those they are favored in.

Houston probably loses one or two between USF Tulsa ecu Tulane temple. It’ll happen. Just win more than you lose

i watched the entire game.. and 100% put this loss on rebounding, considering the oppononent at the size of UC
if you had these rebounding stats vs houston or memphis, id be right there with you.. but you played monmouth

you literally gave up a crucial offensive rebound to end the game...

3pt shooting was terrible, but that was never going to be a strong suit for uc

Wins over Illinois and Arky would have meant you would have had to screw up royally the rest of the way to not get in.

And it looked like you were in control against Arky. Until you weren’t.
