It’s a ridiculous argument made by a senile old fool. Don’t sweat it… you’ll be in and you might even be a two or three seed.

I think it will be:

1. GA
2. MI
3. Cincinnati
4. Notre Dame or Oklahoma State

If Cinci were to beat MI (which they can do) in a year when tOSU could not it would send a message to the college football world.

Corsuck has been on a downward mental trajectory for the past several years. ESPN has been offering him an olive branch of goodwill for his years of service. Right now, he couldn't tell you his home address. Anything that comes out of his mouth should be treated as incapacitated drivel and nothing more. It's really quite sad to see him flopping like a fish out of water.

I’ve played golf with Lee a few times. Shake his hand and he almost rips it off.

Yep, forgot Rutgers. Thanks for the correction.

you / we just need to take him with a grain of salt - he's (probably) making great money, and will do / say anything ESPN scripts for him - the kicker is, there's rumors that game day might be back at cincy next weekend -that could get a little uncomfortable

Everytime that the CBS announcers for the IRON Bowl would talk about the CFP matchups, they would not even mention UC even though they were on the screen. They're making their broadcasts look silly by their denial that a G5 could be at or above the chosen ones.

Oh man... Can't they go to the sec or big 12? Felt like it was a big distraction for the players

I saw his clip and quite honestly I felt a little sorry for the guy. He wasn't a good coach and he's been wrong as often as right picking winners. He just not very good and pretty well viewed as a joke entertainer not to be taken seriously.

I look forward to the CFP this year if we have some different schools which it looks like we may have. I haven't watched the last two years due to the Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Clemson effect. It's fine for the fans of those schools, but the public has been denied the desired product for years!

Nightmare scenario for Cincinnati.

Alabama beats Georgia
Michigan beats Iowa
Oklahoma St beats Baylor

Could see them falling to 5th if that happens

I think Georgia should win but that would still leave OK St and Notre Dame right behind Cincy. Who knows what the committee does then.

Nightmare scenario is being 6-6 and heading to a garbage bowl. It’s all about perspective.

Oklahoma State will jump UC after it beats Baylor. Alabama/Georgia will decide the last spot in the CFP. Been that way for a while.

i am not a fan of autonomous sports schools so i don’t watch them, but if cincinnati gets an invite to this joke autonomous sweepstakes then i’ll watch as long as cincy is winning

Oklahoma State got about 4 calls, or non-calls, that were ridiculous. The worst was the late hit/shove where the refs correctly through the flag. The runner was stopped and going backwards. Multiple whistles were blowing yet 5 seconds later, the Oklahoma State guy pushes/shoves the runner to the ground. The refs huddled and decided to pick up the flag with no explanation as to why. Even the pro-OSU announcers were shocked and were still talking about it later in the game. Another play saw the Oklahoma receiver being held where his jump was hindered and was a no call.

Oklahoma State is highly overrated. UC has much better shutdown corners the OSU has. OSU also has a coach that is terrible in math.

He goes for a 2 point conversion that would have put the up 6 points with about 6 minutes left in the game. There is no advantage going up 6 points versus going up 5 points at that stage of the game, other than thinking Oklahoma would get 2 FGs in less than 6 minutes. By missing the conversion and not taking the extra point, he allowed Oklahoma to potentially go up 3 points with a TD and extra point. If Oklahoma somehow did a get a TD, OSU could only tie with a FG instead of win it.

How stupid is that? He got away with it, but may not get away with it next time. Dumb coach!

At this point it should be a "win and you're In" situation. If the CFP pulls this nonsense with OK state or Baylor slipping by UC after they beat Houston it will probably result in some kind of lawsuits.

All it takes is Alabama winning and Okie state winning. Two very possible outcomes. Cincy gets jumped. That simple.

Don’t know that Alabama beating Georgia is very possible. They just don’t look very good this year.

Lee is far from being senile. Everyone is entitled to his opinion. Lee is very entertaining and the show will not be the same without him. When he does retire they need to replace him the celebrity picker for the USC/UCLA game. 03-lmfao That will be an entertaing group.

RE: Not so fast….Lee Corso
Best scenario for Cincinnati on Championship Game weekend is as follows:
A. Cincinnati win over Houston to finish 13-0
B. 2 of these 3 results to occur:
1. Baylor win over Oklahoma State to have both teams finish 11-2
2. Iowa win over Michigan to have both teams finish 11-2
3. Georgia win over Alabama to have the Tide finish 11-2

Assuming B1 & 2 occur this would have the final CFP poll be:
1. Alabama
2. Cincinnati
3. Georgia
4. Notre Dame

Assuming B1 & 3 occur this would have the final CFP poll be:
1. Georgia
2. Michigan
3. Cincinnati
4. Notre Dame

Assuming B2 & 3 occur this would have the final CFP poll be:
1. Georgia
2. Cincinnati
3. Oklahoma State
4. Notre Dame

Assuming B1,2, & 3 all occur:
1. Georgia
2. Cincinnati
3. Alabama (highest ranked 2 loss team; squeaking by Michigan based on overall SOS)
4. Notre Dame
