I think this hire signals that Tim Harris Jr. is the front runner for the head coaching job, and I think that hire makes the most sense at this point. A young, hungry coach who had success at FIU, has coached for years in South Florida and can recruit the area well. Let’s get it done!
I personally only like internal hires when you have a winning tradition/culture to continue. If that's the way y'all go I hope it works out.
Harris is at UCF now. He could work but I’d prefer somebody with more experience. He only has 1 year as co-offensive coordinator at UCF.
Okay, when I looked him up it I saw a page listing him as the 2021 FIU OC. Weird.
