No. It's not that simple.

If Oklahoma State, Alabama, and Michigan win Cincinnati is left out.

Maybe what I should have said is as long as the favorites win this Saturday UC is in. In your scenario, I stated earlier that Oklahoma St would be the only team UC would have to be concern about because the Cowboys could jump them. If Alabama and Michigan win, UC can still get in with a win and Oklahoma St loss. I still stand by that comment, OK St is the biggest threat to UC not getting in oustide of UC losing to UH.

I think you still need to root for chaos just to be safe.
Iowa beating Michigan in B1G Championship
Baylor beating Oklahoma State in Big12 Championship
Notre Dame's staff getting gutted

Cincy winning with style points would be good too.

It’s a binary equation if Alabama loses and UC wins.

You don’t have to tell me. I have a big crimson A in the back window of my ride. That is just the most likely straight line. UC could be in even if Alabama wins. There are a lot of paths as long as they beat Houston.

Alabama and Cincy can win

Michigan and Oklahoma State lose

Then Cincy and Alabama can both make the playoff.

I would never count on Bama getting beat
