Horrible news for Knight Nation and all who knew him or got the chance to watch him play. Killed by his own father.

Thoughts are with his loved ones and especially his mom, who was also shot and survived.

Damn!! Sorry to hear this. He was a great player and competitor that drove me crazy when we played against him that I had no trouble rooting for when you all played against someone else. Didn't he make it in the league for awhile? Such a tragedy. Prayers to his family and knight nation.

Holy crap. Horrible news. Godspeed Otis. Last I heard he was with the Rams maybe on practice squad for a bit. He was such an electrifying player.

Nothing more honorable to lay your life down protecting your family. Nothing so horrendous that it has to be from your own father. So sad, but it speaks to his character. RIP

Sincere condolences to the entire UCF family.

I have to tell you this death really really hurts.

I saw a story that mentioned his GFs dog bit his dad and that was the dispute. They had an argument and the father went to the garage, probably got a weapon and shot his son in the kitchen. The mother then went to see and thats when the father shot at her.

Whatever the case, its a terrible tragedy.

Something like that. He and his father got in an argument. His mother sent him upstairs to deescalate, then mom and dad got into. Otis came down to stick up for his mom and that's when he started shooting. According to statements by Denise Anderson.
