So, because I felt bad for a Tulsa fan who complained that "every thread" turned into a "circle jerk" between Houston, UCF, and Cincinnati, I decided to go ahead and create a thread for the discussion of the Myrtle Beach Bowl. I suppose some Tulsa fans could have done it, but...

As I unpacked the stats for the game, it looks like it should be a good game. Both teams come in riding winning streaks to get "Bowl Eligible" and to finish the season. As for the facility where the game will be played, it's a new stadium which is something like 4 or so blocks off the beach. I'm personally not a fan of "non-green" fields, but the teal isn't too bad.

I like Tulsa big. They are much better than their record shows. I still haven't located it yet. Will I pass it on my way to Dallas?

The Myrtle Beach Bowl is a thing?

I am calling this the Dirty Myrtle Bowl and I will be watching it.

Tulsa wins this one fairly easily in front of a large contingent of Monarch fans. The score will be something like 35-20.

It's like 10 miles from the beach. Also, that field gets harder to look at the longer you watch. If ESPN doesn't balance their cameras everything will looked washed out.

This will be a blow out by Tulsa. 45-17

If Tulsa just pretends they are playing Cincy or Ohio St they should win this one easily.

There are definitely worse bowl game locations. Myrtle Beach is a great place to visit.

This is the biggest Bowl in TU History and I will never be convinced otherwise

I need to search to make sure this bowl is not just an internet meme.

Looks like Tulsa plays to their competition. Played within a possession of a couple ranked teams but also close games with some bad teams including a loss to UC Davis.

UC Davis was the only bad loss. Navy runs the Option, which can be really good or really bad depending on the day. We probably would have lost to Navy as well.

We need to force some turnovers to have a chance.

I'll say this...give me a bowl game in December in South Carolina near the beach vs one in Boston or NY. Anyone see that weather last night in Buffalo? Yeeeesh.

Tulsa should ROLL the Monarchs.

I have no idea what to expect looking at their record and scores vs who they played. I feel pretty confident Rahne will have our guys ready to play and we should have a pretty good home field advantage.
