Yes - great win for the team, the program, and Coach McKie.
No one expected the Owls to win their next two games after Khalif Battle's season-ending injury. Commentators have called it a character- and confidence-building type of win, and impressive since it was an away game vs. a top-100 ranked SEC team (kenpom.com: #76).

That's spot on! That strategy very nearly cost them the game.
The conventional wisdom is not to foul when ahead in the last minute, since that stops the clock, but not fouling allowed this to happen late in the second half:
1:28 Temple was ahead by 9, 50-41
1:09 Vandy layup (50-43)
0:57 Vandy layup (50-45)
0:56 Temple FTs (2) (52-45)
0:53 Vandy layup (52-47)
0:52 Temple FTs (2) (54-47)
0:42 Vandy dunk (54-49)
0:40 Temple made 1 of 2 FTs (55-49)
0:30 Vandy jump shot (55-51)
0:25 Temple made 1 of 2 FTs (56-51)
0:16 Vandy FTs (2) (56-53)
0:13 Temple FTs (2) (58-53)
0:04 Vandy layup (58-55)
0:01 Vandy intentionally missed FT; hit a 3pt shot (58-58: OT)
Total pts scored by Vandy in the last 1:09 of regulation: 17 pts
Total pts scored by Temple in the last 1:09 of regulation: 8 pts
With a 9-pt lead at the 1:09 mark, Temple could have turned it into a foul-shooting contest, and the game never would have gone into OT.
.
Still, a great win, and it's significant that they're playing better as a team now, in many respects than they played before Battle's injury.
