This obviously sucks for this year, but this should improve the chances of Sasser coming back for one more season. If we don’t start the season in the top 5 next year, something is off.
Shead
Sasser
Mark
Jarace Walker
J’Wan Roberts
Bench: Arceneaux, Sharp, Ramon Walker, Ja’Vier Francis, Kiyron Powell, Robbie Armbrester
Would be Sampson’s best team he has ever had at UH.

the silver lining for all these injuries is what it does for next years team (similar to temple with battle)
sasser is now likely to come back, who was earlier projected pro, marks initial injury forced shead into a major role and he has shined in that...
with more injuries, we are going to have a ton of projected deep bench guys to get real minutes and experience
no offense to Powell i see him likely transferring, probably Edwards and Chaney might be gone.. thats 3 ships to play with... use 1 of those on a Carlton like 6'9+ center and we'll probably be seen as a top 3 favorite to win the national title (if sasser is back)

We really could have a 5 star (Arceneaux) coming off of the bench. Did not think that would be possible.
Pair that with a top 100 guy in Emanuel Sharp. The talent level would be absolutely ridiculous next season.

Dang. I'm sorry that he's having to deal with that. I have watched a ton of Houston games this year, he is so good. I wish him a quick and full recovery.

Yes, those injuries are truly hard luck. But Sampson has done a really good job building that BB program. Houston will still be tough this season and should be exceptional next year. All of this after getting to the Final 4 last season.

somethng thatll be interesting is how many teams go into protcool this week.. houston seems to be from players going home for Christmas and testing positive on return

Just shut it down if this is how we’re going to keep reacting to this virus.

Does Houston really have Covid problems ? I feel like Covid is used as an excuse sometimes. Houston knows the rules will be changed, so not playing UC bc of Covid will be like not playing them at all instead of risking a loss on their home with out their best player. It’s all risk and barely any reward for beating UC so Covid could be the cover for that.
I’m saying Houston is lying but I’d love to know if they have actual players who have tested positive. If they have 7 guys, walk ons included, the game should be played.
