It is great that data seems to indicate that the Omicron variant isn't as deadly as the earlier variants but it just got here and we need more information before we just blow it off. At this point about 60 percent of USA covid cases are Omicron variant and it was less than half that a couple of weeks ago. So we are dealing with plenty of Delta variant cases currently. Also, I doubt "nobody is dying from Omicron". One of the things about it is how easily and rapidly it spreads. If half as many people get seriously ill or die from this variant compared to delta but twice as many people get Omicron as got Delta aren't we still seeing the same hospitalization and death numbers? If it's more than twice as many, well you see where that is heading. I hope this is the beginning of the end of this pandemic but it's never a good idea to get ahead of ourselves.

If we're so uncertain what the ramifications are of covid right now on the safety of college athletes, then shut it down. That's the whole point of this argument. Virtue signalling schools are cancelling games at the twelth hour. That's bull****! They need to be held accountable. If there so ******* woke, then they should decline accepting any bowl bids. No way on earth at least one player isn't infected.

If we test athletes two hours before a game and they're ok, who's to say they aren't ok after the first quarter? Should we test them every five minutes? Can you see the stupidity in all of this?

Test the athletes one week before the game and make a decision whether or not to play at that time before we force fans to **** up their vacation.

2) UCLA cancelled 4 hours prior to the Holiday Bowl
