Iowa State does not meet Big Ten criteria. They only meet it in the sense that Pittsburgh does, perhaps less so given the smaller market.

If SEC forces their hand, they may well bite the bullet and take Iowa State too. I think everyone worried about success on the field is missing out that in the new streaming world, content is king. the more you have the better. And with the Big 10 up for a contract update in the near future, the more immediate financial side can be addressed.
I dunno if Missouri would leave the SEC for the Big10. That said, in my estimation, don't see them looking forward to being in the same division as Texas. Even TAMU seems to have avoided that. So with the right motivation, they might very well leave.
And if everyone is correct and the other 3 choices are Va, NC, and Duke, then that's 6 schools added to 14 to get to 20.
If 4 of the PAC AAU schools are ever an option, that's 24. and potentially ND is 25.
Will all that happen? Maybe. But if the other conferences figure things out, there may be competition for these schools.
More schools = more content. Content is now king. and it's really just a matter of working out the intermediary financial details.
How could the SEC force the Big Ten to invite Iowa State?
I don't think he meant force in the sense of Greg Sankey putting Kevin Warren in a van, driving him to Ames and making him invite the Cyclones at gunpoint. I believe he was speculating on a scenario where the B1G invited Kansas quickly to preempt another conference, and needed an acceptable partner quickly as well to keep membership at an even number. Yes, or other such moves which might force one to take action before one might normally.
And yes, I believe that all AAU (including former syracuse) is on the table.
The AAU requirement is so widely known. I would be surprised if other conferences weren't thinking about that when deciding their own moves.

I'm unaware of any stated B1G criteria beyond 1) contiguous states and 2) AAU membership, both of which Iowa State meets.
Meeting criteria doesn't make one an attractive option though!

Does Iowa State satisfy the only real bedrock requirement for Big Ten membership?
Can it make the other Big Ten schools more money ??
The end.

If another conference sought to add Kansas, would the Big Ten intervene?
As currently constructed adding Kansas to Big Ten is a no, but with NIL now being a factor and even more so in a few years down the road it could change.
If Nike, Adidas, or Under Armor decided to "regularly invest" in a significant way to "influence 2-3 McDonald's All-America type players to play at Kansas," it might be possible to make sense in a world where streaming is King.
