Monday night is the 69th Beanpot.

A few questions going into this one are…

Can NU pull off a four-peat?

Has this year's tournament lost some of its luster given where the four competing schools are in the national polls and with all four losing top talent to the Olympics?

Right now, NU is highest ranked at 16, followed by BU (22); Harvard (28); and first round opponent BC (32).

Both NU and BU are without their starting goaltenders; BC down three starters; Harvard down two starters.

#15 NU defeats BC 3-1 to advance to the championship game of the Beanpot next Monday, where they will face BU. Freshman goalie TJ Semptimphelter, who was making just his 3rd start of his career, was sensational. He stopped 41 of the 42 shots he faced.

It’s a rematch of the 2020 Beanpot that NU won in 2 OT’s.

NU has now won 8-straight Beanpot games and are looking to win their 4-straight Beanpot championship.

This is how I imagined the game going had we still had Levi in goal. The fact that TJ stepped in and performed like that was amazing.

#13 NU lost to #17 BU 1-0 in 69th Beanpot.

The tough loss snaps NU's 3-year hold of the 'pot.

NU's freshman goalie TJ Semptimphelter was great once again, but BU scored the tie-breaker with just under 3 minutes left in the 3rd period. Semptimphelter was still awarded the Eberley award for the best goalie GAA (allowed 2 goals in both games).
