Trivia question or you're looking for the answer?
I dove into the Google and didn't find anything other than the '87 match where ISU snapped Iowa's streak at 9 National titles. Sorry for my lack of help if that is what you're looking for.

The 87 match on ABC! I also found their 86 match on Iowa Public Television in 86. Another Bill Kelly win! I was a little kid but I remember going to that match with my Dad.

That would be an awesome experience, billybobby! A couple powerhouse programs of a great sport. Iowa, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Oklahoma and maybe Ohio State are the elites. Ohio State doesn't have many titles but a lot of runner-up finishes.
Iowa drew ~43,000 fans for a meet against Oklahoma State one year at Kinnick stadium.

You are awesome for knowing these things!!!
I would include Minnesota who won a few NCAA titles over the past 2 decades: Bluebloods:
1 Iowa
2 Oklahoma st
3 Iowa St
4 Oklahoma
5 Minnesota
6 penn St
7 Ohio St—for what they’ve done over the past decade

You guys had Congressman Jim Jordan on your team right? Jordan was a beast in the 80’s with a Victory over John Smith of Ok St in 1985!

Yep, a lot of issues in that era with Dr. Strauss and sexual misconduct. Very sad situation.
