You talking to me?

No. The UTSA mods post. Who after his post had the next two in a row be the same talk about schools leaving that has derailed every other thread posted recently. It somehow got back on track even despite that.

Ha! When I read the first line of your post the fake fair catch popped into my head even before I read the 2nd line. This was such a great moment.

I also love all of the NCAA tournament wins the last few years.

Watching RBs like Forte at Tulane, Smith at UCF, Williams at Memphis, Smith at USM, CJ2000 at ECU (and yes, Bradshaw at Marshall) all running around the fields of CUSA. There was a period from about 05-09 when the conference was loaded at RB.

USM's basketball run that ended with a disappointing loss to Kansas State in the NCAA Tournament. I liked that USM basketball team. Scrappy as hell.

RE: Favorite CUSA team moment
The tropical storm game in Hattiesburg in 2011. "The Rock" was more like "The Lake" --- the game wasn't over until after midnight due to the lightning delays. I remember driving home after the game, arriving as the sun was coming up. Final score: USM 19, Tech 17.

In fact, a lot of the games between Tech and USM have been in 1) Tropical Storms 2) Winter Storms 3) Torrential deep south thunderstorms.

Gonna miss 'em!

Yep. I remember being at NFL fantasy football drafts over a few year span and saying "CUSA back" over and over when those guys were drafted. There was some exceptional talent at RB in CUSA in the early days.

Some of the Memphis basketball games in Birmingham were quite interesting.

And it was great having Louisville, Memphis, Cincy, and Marquette coming to our place for basketball.

2003 Marquette basketball. Someone gave me a couple tickets to the Final Four in New Orleans. Marquette lost to Kansas in the semifinals but just to be able to see a CUSA team in person at the Final Four was pretty cool as it checked off a bucket list item for me

Mine was when North Texas had a fake fair catch against Arkansas. It's always nice to see the SEC people huffing and puffing about how inappropriate it was to do that. Nothing inappropriate at all though, if the refs had thought it was they would have called it. Good times.

For me, it was seeing LA Tech baseball come back from the tornado with a beautiful new stadium and hosting a regional. Hoping they have similar success this except against Southern Miss.

Thanks Roach. I hope both of our teams do really well this season!
