WKU's former longtime women's bball coach, Paul Sanderford, was just elected to the women's bball hall of fame. Well deserved and long overdue.

Quote:Sanderford served as head coach at WKU for 15 seasons (1983-97) and amassed 365 total wins and led the Lady Toppers to three Final Fours, including the 1992 National Championship game. WKU made 12 NCAA tournament appearances under Sanderford and posted 20-wins in all but two seasons on The Hill.

Edit: WKU is now only 1 of a small number of programs in history (less than 10) to have bball coaches in both the men's and women's bball hall of fame.

About time, should have been in 5 classes ago, but its better than never being in.

One of the best coaches in the history of the game! THREE NCAA final fours and won 616 games in his career. He was 163-19 as a Juco head coach with one juco national title.

(Later became an assistant on the men's team. Was the main recruiter in signing Courtney Lee--- who played in the NBA from 2008-2020, led WKU to the sweet sixteen and tied Jim McDaniels for the all-time leading scorer).

Yes was 3...Back to Back 85 and 86, then 92.

The current coach of the ODU Women's Basketball team, Delisha Milton-Jones will also be inducted.
