How do you figure? Towson wins the tiebreaker with us, which would then require them to lose twice if we go 1-1. Correct?

That's why I said "legit" chance, not that we would win.

I like your optimism, but maybe you've been hanging around Bill too long!

"Some see the glass as being 2/3 empty. I see the glass as 1/3 full!"

The way I see it is our "legit chance" is that we go back to our 'winning' (as opposed to our 'pass the ball twice, then everyone stand around and watch somebody heave up a three') offense, win our last two games, the Towson lose the remainder of its makeup game with Delaware.

This-++++ get back to guarding! Our D was lights out during the streak the last few weeks we have gotten away from the hard nosed D and given up way too many easy buckets. Our defense is a huge reason why we had that streak, even when we had offensive luls we were able to stop opponents from getting an insurmountable lead. Our defense allowed us to come back several times

T WHITE. The end. He is a defensive monster.

That certainly helps, but other guys that were getting stops haven't been able to keep guys in front, Shy, Mike and others have to get back to the hard nosed D that got us here. The D I saw in the NU game when i was there Vs. Sat was night and day difference.

Hoops…. Teams play man about 90 percent of the time it seems- I could be wrong.

Well fellas, if we’re down a bunch of guys, next man up. To me, I like seeing 2 bigs out there but I am old school too.

The good thing is that, so far, there is no official notification of any suspended players. We may be okay in that regard, which is best case scenario with Harvey hurt, especially if Shykeim is limited.

He is an absolute X factor, and we need him in the lineup, badly. We also need him and either Baker or Kelly to be pushing into the paint and blocks more on offense to create 2nd chance points. I’d rather not, but I can live with Baker taking 1 three point shot per game. I’d really rather he didn’t though. We need those bigger bodies keeping defenses honest and not pushing us further and further away from the basket and then having zero personnel battling for an offensive rebound. Come out to the key on occasion to set a screen and roll straight back to the basket.

Additionally, and unrelated to White we don’t need two guys camping in both corners on EVERY possession. If that’s going to be their plan, using the corner three, those guys still need to be moving and forcing defenders to move off their spots. Run the baselines, cut to the wing and back to the corner. Do SOMETHING. Standing there just waiting for a pass to let off a quick shot with a hand in their face is why we are shooting such low percentages. Most of our three point shots recently aren’t even open looks.

Man, reading both boards highlights to your skirmish is quite the read. Glad nobody even remotely agrees on what happened, even with video. Comical stuff. I hope we show up and take away the top seed chance for you guys. Short-handed or not, I hope it plays out like the last one, sort of. We blitz you, you come back and get all excited and then we hit a buzzer beater Drew Nicholas style for the win. NIT dreams dashed just like that. Cheers.

Classy to the end Dan! You’re a genius to figure all that math out! Do you see Drexel getting that coveted NIT bid this year? It would look great in the rafters along with the NCAA banner.

I fixed that post for you. Also…

I hope you trip in your kitchen and burn your face making fried eggs. If not today, at some point in the near future. I also hope all the emergency services are unavailable and in a frantic search for your phone to call your mommy, you accidentally hit a salt shaker and it spills onto your face.

Cheers Dan.

RE: @Drexel - GAME 26 - CAA GAME 17
Dan predicted Hawks 86-72 on their board with Dragons with 19 turnovers . He had an interesting breakdown thinking that each team is a matchup problem. Hope he’s right but I don’t see that many. If we forced 13-15 and were within 3 boards, I would take that right now and walk away.

Hope we do get guys back and healthy enough to play!?

Too many playoff implications. No way on Earth he was going to tilt this in the direction of Towson based on the actions of some JMU players and a school that's leaving the conference.

04-cheers At least I did not post the video.

Bill, top seed gets the NIT bid, that will not be us. I still believe we are the most talented team top to bottom, but we wont be the ones cutting the nets down either. I would bet on Hofstra or Towson to cut the nets down. We are too inconsistent to win 3 straight in this balanced league. If we get hot we certainly could, but id put our chances less than 5%

Y’all do have good talent and people don’t recognize that it seems. Bell, Martin and Williams have added a different dynamic. It takes time for roles to be established.

We’re just glad to be closer to full strength. We need Harvey ( if he plays) and Fornes to get their swag back (puppies focus may help?).

Gameday is officially here. Tough two games to finish the regular season. Drexel has never been an easy place to play....mainly because of the lack of atmosphere. Like most nights in CAA play, the tougher team and the one that plays the hardest, the longest will win.

Regardless of why or what the problem was, White is BACK. And he makes all the difference on this team. Complete hustle guy who grabs boards, gets steals, defends, gets on the floor and makes things happen. He's also been money at the FT line and just does work in the paint.

Here's my prediction.

White starts, UNCW Wins
Fornes starts, we lose

If White starts, it shows we have abandonded the disastrous experiment of Fornes starting and the belief we can win a three point shootout(we can't and we haven't).

We are 4.5 to 5 point dogs with the over/under at 139.5.
