UConn weekend
In the latest battle of the Huskies, #15 NU got a big 2-game weekend sweep of #19 UConn.

Friday behind a NU record-tying 60 saves by Devon Levi, back from the Olympics, beat UConn 3-1 at Matthews Arena. Levi didn’t stand on his head, but his 60 saves on 61 shots ties the school record set by Gus Capizzo in 1962.

Saturday afternoon in Hartford, NU came back from a 2-0 deficit to win 5-2. Hobey Baker award candidate Aiden McDonough scored a hat-trick and Levi had 40 saves.

NU has a quick turnaround as they make up a postponed game at Vermont Tuesday night. The 6-point weekend vaults NU into a tie with surprising Merrimack for 2nd place, 5 points behind UMass.

With BU losing to BC Sunday, NU appears to be in the driver's seat for at least a 2nd place regular season HEA finish with an outside shot at winning it all IF BC can do to UMass what it did to BU.

More importantly in the Pairwise, NU sits at #14 while BU drops to #16 with the BC loss.
