That's my thinking. I believe the Indiana/Michigan game was an elimination game and loser to NIT.

Iowa, Wisconsin, Purdue, Illinois, Ohio State, Indiana and Michigan State, 7 in NCAA tournament? Michigan and Rutgers to NIT?

RE: BIG Mens Tourny
I don't think there should be 9 BIG schools in this tournament.

I do get a lot of joy at seeing it trigger some posters on the main board. 03-lmfao

Whew eked out 1st round win, I'll take it! Next up Michigan State vs Duke, a made for Hollywood match-up; Izzo vs Coach K.

I'm super hyped win or lose that we get to play against Coach K in his last season. Unless we win it all or Duke does, this is all I'll probably remember from this tournament!

Davidson is a really good team! I don't care if they are P5/6 or whatever you want to classify them as, that's a solid win.

6-2 in the Round of 64 is pretty good although admittedly they were the higher seed in most of the games.

The SEC was the most embarrassing P5 as they had three teams seeded 6 or higher lose in the first round including the most humiliating loss of the tournament. Of course the most humiliated conference of all was the MWC but maybe it's because we took out half of their teams:) And the EASTERN (East of the Mississippi that is) Big Ten teams were 6-1 while the WESTERN ones were 0-1 (and the other one is so bad they can't even make an NCAA Tournament).

RE: BIG Mens Tourny
Congrats to Michigan and Purdue on making the Sweet 16. Most of the Big Ten schools were underdogs yesterday. I'm disappointed in Wisconsin, they were in Milwaukee and playing a #11 Iowa State team that last year was 2-22 and Greg Gard was outcoached by a first year coach. Then again, they lost to Nebraska at home this year, why should I be surprised? They seemed overrated by the Selection Committee, Purdue should have been seeded higher, maybe Illinois should have been.

Michigan is the #11 seed 17-14 team that's happy to be here. They're playing Villanova and of course I have to cheer for Villanova to win being a Philly guy plus if one side has Villanova and a Big Ten team and the other side has two teams West of the Mississippi with one being a Pac-12 school and the other the team that beat my Illini and I had to pick one school to beat the winner of that game, would I rather pick a 17-14 team or a national championship contender with a coach that's won two national championships?

As for Purdue, they are the highest seed left in the East Regional. They should be favored vs. St. Peter's but so were Kentucky and Murray State so take them seriously! If they win, UCLA should be a tough game and they took Michigan out last year. North Carolina took out Baylor as well. Purdue last made the Final Four in 1980 and Matt Painter could be the best coach in men's basketball to have never made a Final Four so I'm rooting for him to make it.
