White guilt is going to lead to the destruction of the greatest country in the history of the world.

The district is rated D +57 by 538.com, so whichever Democrat wins the primary is a virtual lock for the House seat. Hopefully a coalition of Republicans and more moderate Democrats will get behind Councilman Samuels and Ms. Omar can stay home next Congress.

Don't let his command of the English language fool you. He's not a liberal, he is a proud progressive, there's a huge difference. I'd love to go back to the days when liberals wore Berkenstock's and fanny packs and hugged trees.

But, I'll give him credit, occasionally he shows a bit of common sense.

Thanks b2b, I am hoping many conservative voters in Minnesota's 5th district take your rational approach. I think we'd all be better off if we could remove the loudmouthed extremists, on both sides of the aisle, from Congress. I'd start with the following ten, five from each party -

DEMOCRATS -
Ilhan Omar
Ayanna Pressley
Alexandria Ocasio Cortez
Rashida Tlaib
Cori Bush

REPUBLICANS -
Marjorie Taylor Greene
Paul Gosar
Lauren Boebert
Madison Cawthorn
Matt Gaetz

I don't know about all that but the more I listen to MTG the better I like her. She may have taken some extreme positions but I have yet to hear her talk or read anything by her that strikes me as extreme. It may well be that I just haven't come across such. If you'd like to take the time to highlight why you think each of those on your list of far right extremists made the list maybe you could convince me.

I think you have a little ways to go there, chief. There is a guy who thinks Guam will tip over, a guy that got caught banging a Chinese Spy and a crazy lady that wanted her supporters to harass in public places those that do not agree with her, just off the top of my head.

Not to mention Schiff, Nadler, Pelosi and Schumer to a degree. When your leadership is so out of touch with reality and the common man there's little wonder that the derangement infects their base.

I agree. Game may be liberal, but he's just that and not a leftist. I truly feel he loves America just as much as we do; he just disagrees with what is best for her, whereas leftists hate America and want to fundamentally change her. That's why I might from time to time refer to him as "friend" or "my friend" while responding to him.

As for the topic, if he's able to pull this off, one of member of the so-called Squad will be gone.

The district makeup is 100% urban which means EVERYONE living there is dependent on government. Race is irrelevant. It is also the worst district in the country to live for Black folks.

My wife is a registered Republican, thankfully. (Then again, we live in Texas so it's a moot point.)

Not his fault the Squad is all female. Plus that was Gamenole ("leans" Democrat) who made that list.

What all of the Representatives on my list have in common, at least in my mind, is being amongst the most conservative/liberal members of the House as well as some of the most prone to inflammatory, unhelpful rhetoric. Unfortunately with the country full of gerrymandered House districts on both sides, there is a viable path to celebrity and prominence by being a bomb-thrower. I don't see any of those 10 as serious legislators, they're mostly busy scoring points with their base rather than working with their colleagues to actually write bills that might be passed into law.
