Wow that's a hard pill to swallow. I honestly think we'll finish 1st or 2nd with a minimum of 9 wins.

I'd really like to "LOL" at that, but I just don't know. The competition just got a lot harder. ODU isn't the doormat of old. JMU on the road and their homecoming? That place will be nuts. App, CCU, and ULL will be at home but by no means gimmes. I don't see GaSt or GaSo beating us, but you never know.

Factor in that we go 3-1 in OOC, but BGSU is never a kind place for us, AND, thanks to our schedule, we have to go 7-5 to be bowl eligible.

I think Huff does what Doc never could do... learn from past mistakes. There is no way Huff doesn't win 9 games this year. I'm not saying we as fans aren't gonna have a few heart attacks on game day, but Huff will find a way... I can feel it.

Yeah, I'm with ya. I'm cautiously optimistic. Proof is in the pudding and we have had a LOT of promises and "There's no question" or "Without a doubt". But I am a believer in Huff.

Football could be a better team with a worse record. Basketball could be a worse team with a better record. And we have no idea how it's gonna go on either.

Agree. That's why OOC is sooooo important for ALL of the SBC teams. We have to prove we are a formidable conference in FB first. And then work on BB. We are going to beat each other up in the conference IMHO. I REALLY hope we have a good showing against ND and win the rest of our OOC. I think we see eye to eye on most things. This conference is going to ignite the fan base (At least I hope).

We need to win convincingly against Bugs and the two FCS schools. Against ND we need to look really good and win or keep it really close. This will set the tone for conference play.

RE: Marshall Picked 4th in SBCE by Coaches
So much is unknown really. How does the new qb perform? How quickly can all the transfers fit in and be productive? Will Huff learn from mistakes last year? Etc. Honest I can see anything from a double digit win season to being roughly .500. The fan in me says 11-1. The realist in me says 8-4. Part of that is probably still a bit of post-Doc PTSD, as I'm so used to seeing us drop games we shouldn't or just simply not show up one weekend. Looking forward to the ride though!

And we have to have BUGS and Notre Dame win win win.
