I never said they were. The MTAD has nothing to do with the tracking. If you don't know what I'm talking about, watch the movie 2000 mules, and you will understand the capabilities of the government and cell phones. The MTAD is merely REQUIRING me to have my cell phone on my person in order to attend a game. It's not the ticketing app... although that IS irritating as hell.

So, you are mad you "have" to carry the phone to the stadium that you were bringing with you anyways and the phone you carried to every game last year?

Nah, most people recognize their cell phone as not just being a phone. Most people see their phone as a computer with phone capabilities that provides a lot of ease and convenience.

Again, personally, I find it much easier and more convenient to have all of my families tickets on my phone which I carry with me all of the time anyways. Now, I no longer have to keep a seasons worth of tickets stored in a specific location so they do not get lost and then remember to get them in the car with me as I am loading up kids and everything and then remember to bring them to the entrance while wrangling and keeping up with kids. I just get to put my phone in my pocket, deal with everything else and then pull up an app when I get to the gate. Simplicity and less to keep up with.

And if our government wants you then they are going to find you unless you are somehow managing to live 100% off the grid and if you are posting on here then you are not that person...

They are great for some things but man those poor people who let them get in the way of the real things

It can be frustrating to have to download stuff to your phone when you would rather not. I mean, it's easy to do but crap, everyone wants you to do that so you spend more time on your phone than you want to. auto service, doctor's appointment, pest control, photos from the photographer (250), give me a break.

My 81 year old sister in law was out here over the fourth and we were trying to print her ticket but we couldn't so I downloaded it to her phone. I thought my wife or I would have to walk her to the freakin gate to be sure she could pull it up for boarding the plane. I understand but damn.

Seems like tickets to a ball game wouldn't be so hard to provide for those who want them. I like to keep them. Have years and years of them as well as concert tickets.

The digital ticket policy is obviously to prevent people from selling copied or counterfeited tickets. This way the university gets the money instead of hooligans walking around selling fraudulent tickets, effectively stealing from the school. If they let people make an exception by calling to get paper tickets then the hooligans and the scammers could just call up and get paper tickets and make copies of them and walk around selling them on game day. My parents are in their 70’s and use phones as well as anybody. This message board is full of people who love to get mad about the stupidest shite imaginable.
