"About 20% of Big 10 men's basketball will be on Peacock."
Remember when the AAC was intensely slandered for having espn+ for our bad games just 1.5 years ago?

Not really, I feel like most people thought the AAC got a really good deal.
It was specifically UConn fans who really hate ESPN+ because they prefer SNY.

we we slandered by everyone for putting our games behind a paywall... that it was a midmajor move
there is also a major misconception that that is why uconn left (not true) but everyone believed it
it got so bad aresco had to keep addressing it in every interview .. that he believed espn+ was the future and he believed that and not a bad thing

I definitely would rather watch basketball on ESPN+ than Peacock

Each Big Ten game on NBC will also be simulcast on Peacock - NBCUniversal's direct-to-consumer streaming package..
Peacock will contain eight regular-season football games and potentially up to 47 regular-season men’s basketball games (32 conference and 15 non-conference) and 30 regular-season women’s basketball games (20 conference and 10 non-conference).
--------------------------
I'm sure these might include mostly non-conf I-AA games in football and some not so great conf games in hoops.

Exactly. And a lot of the same naysayers subsequently LOVED the Big12 ESPN+ network...which actually looked a lot like the AAC ESPN+ network.
In addition to the paywall factor, mwc honks and others (I'm thinking of a couple LaTech trolls in particular) were constantly screaming PRODUCTION COSSSTS!@!!
Schools producing games would eat up the entire $7 million dollars. And if an AAC school already had facilities, ESPN would come burn them down and kick the AD in the junk.

I was looking forward to ESPN+ prior to the American's contract, and actually haven't been disappointed. I remember the olden days (just a few years ago) when most games weren't on TV. Now I can catch nearly every game I'd like to see. However, it's getting to the point where you need multiple pay streaming services to watch sports.
I have a novel idea. Someone should come up with a plan that would combine different networks into a single package for one price. It could be delivered directly to your house...maybe through a wire.

...or wireless, I recently heard of this thing that Elon Musk is working on, something about satellite service...
I hate paying $50 for internet service and then having an additional 10 steaming services for roughly $9 each on average, it's like having "Cable-A-LA-Cart" with less contend for a higher price.
Sling should be able to do something like you suggested or USTVGO type service.

I've found YouTube TV to be the best for sports content. All the major sports channels are included and you can have up to 6 people (legally, haha) on one account, but only 3 simultaneous streams. Simply get with a family member or friend and split the subscription. Or "split" it with your mother in law and "forget" to pay her for it...on second thought this one might be considered unethical by some

20% is not that bad when you consider that will include nearly every Nebraska, Northwestern and Penn State home game plus all the OOC games against the likes of Youngstown State, Ohio Dominican, Slippery Rock, Coppin State, Oakland, Ferris State, IUPUI, Indiana State, UIC, Wisconsin-Green Bay, South Dakota State, etc.
