Yeah, I get the digital tickets, but a digital parking pass sounds like a nightmare. Plus, since all of the parking lots are connected and we don't have hangtags, you can scan into Blue and go park in Gold or ANYWHERE you want.
No. They'll track where your phone stopped moving in the parking lot, i.e., where you parked, and then Big Brother will come after you.

I’m hearing that all attempts to enter lots not matched to your phone will trigger an invisible shield. Genius.
I really think that is terrible policy , at least put up a sign rather than wrecking everyone’s cars like that, I think the people that are trying to park where they did not pay for the parking should be prevented from taking a paying fans spot, but I think that is a little too much.
They have gone too far when they are causing damage to fans cars with an invisible force field. They will change the policy after one week!
This is such a peculiar thread for me. I guess it depends on where you live in this country because I live in a place that’s only had digital tickets for years with no issues whatsoever. I do miss the printed ticket for a souvenir but to those out there complaining and saying they’ll never be back, I took a screenshot and can’t wait to show my own grandkids how resistant to change people can be some times.
I wonder if it was the same when the CC swiper was installed at the gas pump and people complained about not being able to go inside a store and talk to someone while paying for their gas. Maybe they miss those days too?
For the poster asking earlier, if you have ten tickets, you can easily share/transfer them to your party and they can come in at their own time. You never have to meet them to give them the tickets in person. It’s amazing how much your life could be easier just by not being resistant to change and instead embracing it. Change is one of the few constants in life.

$50 is steep. If the University doesn't want to deal with the hassle, give people the option to print from home like the airlines do. If you want printed tickets I think $1 a ticket is more than fair for the end user and the University.
That is the accepted practice. For that not to be there indicates a poor ticketing application.

I miss having to be near a bank between 10am and 4pm, having to remember to have my bank book and utility bills on me, waiting in line for a half hour every second Thursday to deposit my pay check, and pay my bills.
Going to the airport or travel agent was awesome. Waiting in line, buying a plane ticket and getting 8 sheets with carbon paper to take with me to give everyone at check in, baggage check in, customs, terminal, and the airplane...pure heaven.

Or taking the bills with stamps and envelopes while on vacation so you could mail everything that is due before you get home.

Yeah, Some people are smartasses, and then some people come in and set the record straight.
I remember a time when I was driving in my car... and someone called... I never knew they called... because we had a rotary phone with no answering machine... and I MISSED THE CALLOHMYGOD!!!!!!!!
And I didn't give a flying crap.
Now I can't be separated from my phone for fear I might miss a precious call. I have a friend who "has" a phone, but never answers it, it is rarely actually charged up, and he routinely leaves his phone at home. His wife is always complaining "Jeff, when you leave your phone at home, I CAN'T REACH YOU."

Set the record straight? Searching for a flight, getting pricing in 10 seconds from 100 different websites and booking it in 2 minutes and having the ticket on your phone where it is impossible to lose, versus having to physically go from travel agent to travel agent or each airline, and having to tear 8 sheets of paper each way?

I sure don’t miss trips to Kroger where I had to stand there while someone else had all the fun ringing up my groceries. Then yet another lucky employee would deny me the joy of bagging everything.
Now I get to stand in a twenty deep line with all the other lucky shoppers, smile for the camera while ringing up my own groceries, wait my turn for the super cool attendant to come reset my personal checker-outer, check my ID, etc. AND I get to bag everything just the way I want. I’m hearing that in coming months they’ll be rolling out a policy where I’ll be required to restock every item I purchased. I can’t wait.
I never go thru self checkout at Walmart here. I once asked an attendant if I get a discount if I check out my own items AND bag them. She looked at me as if I were an alien. Most Walmart Neighborhood Markets have just one open checker lane, if you're lucky. Last time I went NO checker lanes were open, so I just stood there until someone came over and turned on the register and checked me out.

Resistant to change is normal and in everyday life.
As for the highlighted comments above I have never taken my phone to a game. A cell makes life easier but I would never take one to a game. NEVER! To me it's a pain in the ass to keep up with and I'm there to watch the game not mess with a cell phone. I think people that cling to their cell phones have issues and are not very smart because cells are often times a hindrance.
As for you second part above I never go inside at the gas station and always pay by credit card at the pump. ALWAYS! I always use the self checkout at the grocery store.
To tie those two together thinking they are the same is total ignorance.
This thread kind of sums up why we are still in AAC and will continue.
Digital tickets? It’s not 2010 anymore. Also the cost of tickets is so cheap yet I see complaining about that. Do we want to be big time or be relegated to small time??
