I'm at the point now where I feel like anything that is hinted at ahead of time surely isn't happening. We got zero smoke from the last two big moves.

Without Notre Dame it makes no sense money wise for the Big Ten. It’s not like Oregon or Washington are going elsewhere if not taken now

I think it’s happening. I think the goal is eventually 20 teams. Washington and Oregon would get them to 18 and give USC and UCLA some regional opponents. Getting to 20 will be tricky though, because Notre Dame doesn’t seem to be budging on a move to the B1G. They’re the final piece IMO with Stanford to get to 20. Stanford is a rival to Notre Dame and a regular opponent, just like USC. It just makes sense to me. Purdue, Northwestern, and Michigan St also have longstanding histories with Notre Dame. And they also play many of the other B1G schools on a regular basis. So I could see a 20 team B1G with four pods of five schools each that play each other every year, and rotate scheduling with the other pods every year. So that would make a nine game conference schedule with three non-conf games. That way they could still play Navy every year.

Alright, the AAC football season has started.

The offseason is over, these realignment threads need to be forced to the Lounge boards.

The final season of AAC 1.0 has begun. New Big 12 teams versus Legacy AAC teams compete for the last meaningful AAC title.

Sorry but it won’t be the “ last meaningful AAC Title”

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the B1G is still tied in with the PAC for the rose bowl most years.

With USC and UCLA gone, what motivation do they have to not take OR and WA and kill it off? Send your representative to play Utah every year?

What would be the incentive to add more PAC teams that would lower your per team earning, when you can get the Rose Bowl in the next TV contract

As I have said if those two brought enough to the table they would had been added when contract was done. The fact that the only school mentioned in their contract as bringing in a certain amount of extra money was Notre Dame.

The BigTen is in no hurry, they can see how it goes the first years of tv contract and come back and add anyone they want from PAC at any time. Remember their money increases after third year of contract not at start.

No longer 1.0, we lost the powerhouse of UConn football already.

Either the article is wrong about 4 PAC schools to the big 10 or the big 10 is planning on going to 24 with ND + 3 ACC in addition to the 4 from the PAC.

My guess is Washington, Oregon, and Stanford and eventually ND... or Stanford and ND only,

I wouldn't go that far. It could mean that he thinks the three Big 12 immigrants won't be competitive in their new environs, and this is their last best chance.
