APP will put 40 thousand plus tomorrow, with the third highest average ticket price, 260.00ish in the entire country, behind only Ohio St/ND, Georgia/Oregon…enjoy

Idiotic by the aac. We picked losers in big markets that have never won anything, and that’s coming from an average program in ecu. The sad part is odu and coastal are in great markets and app has done nothing but win the last 2 decades

The AAC didn't pass them up, ESPN wouldn't let App, Louisiana, or Coastal leave. The AAC didn't want Marshall and ODU wanted to be with other Virginia schools to boost their profile regionally in athletics.
So here we are. Charlotte loses to William & Mary, Temple gets shutout by Duke, and ODU, who was picked to finish LAST in the Sun Belt East, just beat Virginia Tech.
The Sun Belt has two more great opportunities tomorrow with UNC and South Carolina as well. Troy should compete with Ole Miss as well.

ODU has 3 winning seasons the past decade, they aren’t some amazing program from one upset.
You’re gonna let these weird Sunbelt fans get excited

"Myrtle Beach market" lmao
You know that's only like 300k people? Half of whom are over 80 and on hospice.

Charlotte is looking bad, but let's not jump to conclusions about ODU. They haven't had a winning season since 2016, and have gone 17-33 since 2017. They beat Virginia Tech 49-35 in 2018 and finished the year 4-8. Virginia Tech gave tonight's game away with turnovers, miscues, and poor QB play from an ex-Marshall QB, and don't look very good themselves right now.

Was not impressed with ODU or VaTech. Both of them will get a rude awakening once conference play starts.

So the same amount of fans that care about the program as uncc? Except they win

Ole Miss will destroy Troy. The Rebels will have 35 pts at the half.

Haha let’s all relax. We have all the markets, academics, and money. Let ODU and the Sunbelt beat their chest for a day. Everyone knows where the real power resides.

Look we all know ODU and VT aren’t very good, but to the casual fan and the media perception matters, and right now that perception is a SunBelt team beat an ACC team. Meanwhile Charlotte just got throttled by William and Mary, not a good look for the AAC.

Not everyone. I am sure that the AAC will keep saying they have power, and the SBC will demonstrate they have it. Once your top 3 move on and you get your new teams it is a whole new game.
We love seeing Charlotte use the #P6. Please encourage them to continue it.

The Sun Belt played its hand with great skill in the latest round of realignment. Y’all are well-positioned for the future and optimism is warranted. And yes, AAC made a bone-headed own-goal by inviting Charlotte. We will be paying the price for that for years to come.
With all that said, I don’t believe that ODU would’ve turned down the chance to be in a league with Navy and ECU, in order to be in a league with J-Mad and Marshall. And I think Georgia State would’ve jumped at the chance to be in AAC, as well. The fact that we passed over both of them in favor of Charlotte is just plain stupid. The only thing that could partially mitigate the stupidity is if ESPN insisted on Charlotte. I admit that may have been the case. But even if true, it simply shows how weak AAC is, that it cannot even make its own realignment decisions.
