FIU 88 total yards.

59-0, backup QB Darius Oceans with a 44 yard TD. Reed was tremendous today.

FIU is not looking good.

Is FIU really THIS bad? I mean there’s bad and there’s this.

Wow. 73-0.

We’re that bad. Butch left the team in shambles and they’re rolling out freshman/r.freshman/sophomores almost exclusively across the two-deep. But still the coaching staff has to take some heat for this sort of lifeless beating. WKU is a solid group of 5 team, not great but solid …they’re not Alabama or Georgia. Even against Alabama/Georgia this is an embarrassing beating.

This is taking a team to the woodshed.

Announcers said FIU has the 3rd youngest team in FBS...and it showed.

For those wondering, WKU pulled its starting QB midway thru 3rd quarter and nearly everyone on the sidelines got playing time in the 3rd and 4th quarter.

Not to pile on to FIU but Austin Peay was a much better overall team than the Panthers. Butch really left that team in shambles. There's no reason that any team in the state of Florida should ever be that overmatched.

This might be the best receiving corps we've ever had at Western. I know that's sacrilege to Taywan Taylor and Nick Norris but this group is super deep. Reed is no Zappe but he's pretty damn good and our O-Line is playing well.

Good bounce back after pulling the biggest Western ever at Indiana last weekend. We'll see how good we really are next weekend. Troy will be a good test. They've always had a really good program with the exception of a few years.

It was 52-0 when WKU pulled all of their starters and started playing the 2-3 deep.

And before today Austin Peay had outscored their previous 3 opponents 132-3 after playing WKU. Appears they have a solid team.

At some point you have to consider moving down to FCS. Congrats Tops.

No excuse for a 73-0 drubbing. UTSA started football in 2011, and in 2012 we were already in an FBS conference. Our team was almost all sophomores and freshmen in 2012 and we went 8-4. Our worst blowouts were 48-17 at home to Utah State who were conference champions and went 11-2 that year, and 51-27 at 9-3 LA Tech who were ranked #25 at the time.

I'd be interested to know who else is among the five to ten youngest teams to see how they're fairing before using that as defense for a team that nearly lost to Wagner and lost to Texas State and WKU by a combined 114-12 managing just two field goals and one rushing touchdowns and fewer than 500 total yards of offense combined in their last two games.
