This. I was only able to watch a little bit of the game (mostly 3rd quarter). SMU completely fell apart. Mordecai missing easy checkdowns to move the chains, boneheaded play for the safety, and Siggers(I think) missing that WIDE FRIGGIN OPEN lob pass that would have got him a touchdown. Woof.

yeah they out gussed gus

Even Tulsa competed with Cincy... conference is wide open, this isn’t last years Cincy team.

UCF fans should know better than anybody that Tulsa can be a problem. Cincy's last 2 top 10 teams needed late game heroics to hold them off.

With that said, UCF finally looked the way people expected preseason and i'm guessing our game down there is going to have CCG implications

Nope, it was only SMU who made mistakes!
Not to mention a lot of SMU’s “mistakes” happened with our backups in, in essentially garbage time

I love that UCF fans are so butthurt they ignore the positive from other fans "UCF could be top 25 good" and focus on a couple honest observations that SMU missed some big chances to make this a better game and that SMU is pretty good (I think SMU being pretty good makes this a more impressive performance from UCF, not less).

Gus

high talent and poor coaching.

So what you’re saying is more double reverses.

No one's butthurt, just pointing out that it's asinine to say that SMU shot themselves in the foot and act like UCF played a perfect game or something.

Nobody said anything remotely like this.

Glad to see a nice turnout for this twice cancelled game...as tailgating was canceled (lots didn't open till 5 pm) since UCF didn't cancel classes for yesterday afternoon or evening.

Game was sold out to it being Patents Werkend initially and many from out of town or others locally with tix, did try to donate their tix to others who coukd go (and didn't habe flooded homes or lost power, etc...)

A tale of two halves for sure. That catch by O'Keefe in the endzone was baller.

I still can't believe Baker caught that ball by the sideline with the defender all over him.

Mordecai was rattled. All throughout the second half it looked like he was trying to tap dance while throwing

I thought it boiled down to SMU’s talent being lesser than UCF. They looked physically overmatched. Overall I’ve seen better Smoo teams recently.
