Six CAA teams in the top 100 RPI rankings with the Tribe now at 65. We still have a 3 game series left against UNCW, Northeastern, and Delaware, but fortunately only the series against UNCW to end the season is on the road. Looks like Hofstra is the team that we all have to beat out in order to make the CAAT.

Elon's got it pretty easy. Except Charleston, they've got bottom half teams left. We're closing out with 2 of the top 3.

It would appear that the schedule gives a a great say in the outcome. I like our chances. This team has heart.

As coach McRae railed against on twitter, it's kind of ridiculous that the CAA only takes the top 5 for the playoffs when you currently have 6 in the top 100 and a top 20 team joining next season.

Impressive…but it has happened before. The hard reality is that the CAA will still get AT MOST only 2 teams in the NCAA tournament. 3 could be deserving this year, depending on how things finish and whether Elon is upset in the tourney.

Yeah, I thought that there were 6 teams too but I also thought that, hey, a CAA coach ought to know how many teams will be in the tourney. More teams can play (Women's Tennis will have all 12 teams in their tourney) but Baseball's double elimination format would make that many unwieldy. I think 8 is a good number....just don't have any byes.
